Got a weird problem with this machine. The copier will only copy in black and white mode. Hit the full color or auto color buttons and the control panel displays " copying in black and white mode only available"
We have replaced the dimm, the memory and the main board. The firmware is the latest available. And have gone in and reinitialized via sim 21. Rest to factory defaults. Both through the control panel and through service mode. Removed and disconnected all options. Entered sim 132 for forced toner and the values for all toners do not change beyond plus or minus one or two. Sime 155 show values of 389 for k, c, and m. However yelllow shos a toner sensor value of 285. This machine has already had a yellow developer unit replced. In addition the machine has less than 70k copies. Wiat it gets even better. This machine is a replacement for another machine that the tech rep said to replace. The copier is less than four months old!
So my question is this. Has any one else seen this sort of weird probelm? And what was the sloution? Tech support suggested defective toners. We swapped them ut last week. So kind of hard to believe tha all four toners are defective, make that eight defective toners all at once. Thanks for any help or suggestions in advance
Sim 906 did not produce any c-codes. And resetting through the web browser produced the same results. Got some new info from the tech rep. But it seems sort of bizarre steps to try. Right now bizarre seems the only way to go. If we get his thing running I'll let you know what worked.
I believe I remember something to do with the user accounts on these copiers where you can limit functionality. Among them only allowing B/W copying. May wish to see what somebody has been fooling around with on the Kyocera Command Center with the default user account settings.

We have a solution for the problem. Tech support had us remove one toner cartridge at a time. Close the front cover and turn the machine on with the toner cartidge out of the machine. Starting with the black toner working to the right. The machine came to the ready"full color mode" with the magenta toner.
