Have a DF-710 on KM-c4035E That misses the first page of a set when stapling? Anyone seen this? Any ideas?

We had this problem on a different finisher once and it ended up that the staple unit itself was bad. On the large drive gear on one side of the staple unit there is an inner track that works like a cam and the pin that is suppose to travel around the cam track had a white plastic bushing that had broken, this allowed the staple unit to somehow catch the first page in and all the other pages would slide past then. Hope this helps.
