I thought I had a problem with it, but it ended up being a bad download. I downloaded it over a wireless connection at our companies office, which I had done with almost all the rest of the firmware downloads I've done. I was able to unzip it fine and install it, but boy did it make the copier do some weird things. The zip file size was only 103MB instead of 104 and it had a different file name. I re-downloaded it on a connection directly on a lan connection and it downloaded correctly with a zip file size of 104MB and a different file name. The firmware updated properly and the copier is working fine.
I hadn't noticed that difference, but what I did find surprising was that the new firmware zip file size that was released for the 2560/3060s is actually larger than the zip file size for the v 8.00 for the TASKalfa ci series.
That's because the 3060 firmware has two sets of firmware files for the two different panel styles (Tech Bulletin 3). All of the files that start with p_ are for the old style, and the man_ files are for the new style.
