Had a fuser destroy it self in one of these machines today. Never popped a fuser code when it ate itself, just a jam code then this . . . TASKalfa Fuser Destruction 1 TASKalfa Fuser Destruction 2 TASKalfa Fuser Destruction 3 TASKalfa Fuser Destruction 4 This reminds me of the Voyager "E" fusers that were self destructing.

It looks to me like you got some help from the customer. Films don't just rip perfectly crossfeed. "Somebody get me an X-acto knife. I can get that jam..." =^..^=

Had a TA300ci do the same thing. Machine had been in clients office two days and they called saying silver and orange ribbons were coming out of the end of the copier. It was still working, but couldn't figure what happened. Never tripped a code, just wrinkled the paper and kept spitting out ribbons of fuser belt. Replaced it and have not had another incident in three months. The only run 24 lb. stock and machine showed no jam counts. Strange???

Closer inspection of this fuser, once it was out of the customers office, showed that they may have had a jam of some type and had a paper get stopped in the fuser area and they used something to dig at it and may have caused the belt to end up tearing. Gonna let the service manager deal with the customer on this one.
