I have a customer that has a Citrix enviroment with multiple locations. They have 4050's and 6030. Devices in the same building as the print server print PDF's fast. Devices located in a different building print PDF's slow. Has anyone seen this?

Just a guess, but there must be something slowing the data traffic between buildings. Is this like a campus of buildings clustered together or are they spread apart over distance? Do we know if there is a WAN in-between print server and printer? A router? There are a lot of information pieces to this puzzle missing. ================================================== Chris L's Hiking/Geocaching blog (new and improved!) yoyoartist.blogspot.com

there is alot of distance between the buildings. I am not sure what the connection is between the locations. the printing is slow because there is a pause between sheets in a set. the time from selecting print to the time the data transfers to the device seems to be fine. If we send the document to a document box it still prints slow from the document box. another factor is that they are using Print Q manager software on the print server.

Check the host buffer frpo parameters on the equipment. make sure that it is set to its highest setting. Doedee316

If all else fails ask the customer to put you in contact with a Citrix engineer or sales engineer even. XenApp and XenDesktop transmit screenshots and keystrokes only, so no actual data is leaving their datacenter, only images. Perhaps this has something to do with it?
