Has anybody noticed a significant change in print quality on the new series of Voyager? I have just printed off some samples and compared to a FS 5020. The FS in my opinion is far better. Is this the opinion of anybody else, as I thought the quality on the new series was to be improved.
Do a color registration (the chart with 6 x 3 values) and then a color calibration.
Sure I have yet to try out the new E series but it's the same FW on "old" and "new" Voyager and there are some changes made in the FW to improve the quality and precision in the colours.
Has anyone noticed if the color that is being shipped with the 'E' series is different. I know it uses the same numbers, but I think the labeling on the toner container itself has changed a little. I had heard speculation that part of the improvement was a change to the toner and that was why it was shipped with it. I assume they want to deplete existing stock before the toner we're ordering starts hitting our shelves. If so, the 'E' series will produce the same color once the initial toner is depleted and older toner is installed (probably).
Go by your manual. Some parts are not the same. 4035E is somewhat alike but a diff. breed. Things like the drum motors are different. You will see when you take the online update or class. The days of switching parts around from the whole new color line for troubleshooting are gone. You have to be careful. They are changing things all the time. Trying to get the bugs out. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Devdumper,
