I'm looking for some feedback on how these machines are performing. What kind of volume you have running on them? Do you have any using this as a main black and white copier with little color? Say for example 80k b/w and 20k color per month. How are they performing? Is color holding up in long runs? Do you have a lot of maintenance calls? Just trying to get a feel for how they are performing. We are considering taking on the line. Thanks for your replies in advance.

We have one. It has been out for acouple of months no problems yet low volume. It is duel comp. with a mag roller so holding density in long runs should not be a problem

We have about 10 in the field. So far the only issues have been with proper paper types being selected. IE: not choosing thick3 on a cover stock causing fusing and offset issues. Had to change the fuser on one because of roller issues. Notice I said unit, because the press roller I needed was on backorder, so I shelled out the $1100.00+ for an assembly.. I have since ordered a PM kit for the fuser so I will have a unit for swapping. Color seems to hold up very well and stays consistant on long runs.
Watch out for the finisher interlocks. There are two of them. One is actuated when pushed up against the machine and one detects that the latch went down completely. The later kicked my ass for about 1.5 hours.
Hey, Mr. Gazoo hows it been? We are sending our first Kyoshiba out to a sight next week. Its been so long, how has this machine worked out? Any issues I should be looking for?
Long time. Hope to see you at the finals for the 2010 Service Tech Award. So far the equipment has been working great for us. Set up takes up to 3 hours w/finisher and punch. Havn't had to do PM yet. I have read some issues on drums streaking, but havn't seen it myself. Parts seem to be on backorder alot. Make sure the customer understands paper type settings (causes fuser issues and jamming). Fuser drive makes knocking noise that KMA hasn't addressed yet. Make sure you use the rails on carpeting, even though they are a pain in the ass to install. All in all I like the machine.
