Ok,
WTF has KM done to the auto cassette switchover settings on Taskalfa? It seems the only way to remove a cassette from the APS is to tell the machine it has something other than plain paper in it, either that or change the cassette you DON"T want in APS to a LTR/A4 R configuration. This used to be a simple thing to do a generation ago, does anyone have a easier way?? =========================== Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. - G. Oh and giving it something besides Plain paper won't help the print side since the print driver defaults to Unspecified paper, aka use anything. To get around that, I told the machine it had a custom paper size of 11x8.5, but specifying that in the print driver so the machine won't beep at you gets weird.

On that last one, aragul, I set the print driver (in printing preferences or defaults) to plain paper instead of unspecified. Odd that they would do that though.
Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt |

LMAO! It's not just T/A. KM-3060 and Falcon 3's do it too. Have a customer that complains that the machine will randomly auto rotate the copies even though both trays are set to the same orientation. Changed aps, auto rotate, set the original sensor thresholds to the point the machine can't even preview what's on the glass, still rotates at will.

Go to the webpage under printer settings, media input, check the draw you want for default and check the box all the way to the left, next draw choose the middle one and hit apply. I recycle the machine when done and if you go back to the website it looks like your changes are not registered but they are. This will prevent draw switching when printing to the machine.

If you're talking about auto cassette switching for printing, that was been defaulted to off, on all Wisecore machines starting with the CS-5050. Auto cassette switching for copying comes defaulted to On.
If you'd like to turn on auto cassette switching for printing send the following PreScribe command: !R! FRPO R1,99,EXIT; If you're talking about faxes printing onto various different paper sizes, this again has become an issue on Wisecore machines. The machine will use the most appropriately sized paper, but will not ask for paper when it runs out of a specific size when printing faxes, and will continue printing based on a list of paper sizes describes in the users manual. A workaround is to specify that faxes are printed onto a specific media type, then designate a tray with that same media type. When the tray is empty while faxes are printed, the machine will display "Load Colored Paper." You'll need to educate the customer that Colored=Fax paper. =^..^= =^..^= |
