I am having an issue with a TA7550ci, customer says that the document processor sometimes does not detect originals when inserted. I have yet to catch it in the act, by the time i get to customers site it is working fine. Nothing in the event log. I'm thinking either the updated firmware might be the issue or possibly original detect sensor. Any help would be great.

I think whats happening is that the dp is losing its connection with the copier because i had the customer print out a maintenance report when the problem occured and the report did not show anything relating to the dp ie there was no u460 or u244. Strange thing is that there are no c codes recorded.

Did you find a solution for this problem? I have 2 7550 doing the same thing.

I ended up replacing the paper detect sensor and updated firmware. I have a feeling it was a firmware related problem.
