We got a low mileage machine used and after install I discovered the IP configuration goes away at main power down. After inspection I discovered the eeprom is missing that is called out in the repl procedures. It does not appear to be spared. Anyone have any ideas how to get another one?

it is going to be difficult, you can source them, but when I bought some they were in a minimum order of 100, then they need to be programmed, they would have to go back to KM for this, in the past I have had them sent off to Japan as they need the right serial number programmed into them so that they match up, or you get a serial number missmach error

we just had a broken eeprom on a 3530 and ordered one from kma, i called tech support and they took the size down and then gave me a part number to order, we got 4, in about 5 days they got here, then the regional rep came by to reprogram it. if you find the post by me in the black and white section you can get codes to get the machine back up and running.

This is the eeprom on the print controller. We were able to order but were told by parts people that they did not need a serial # or meter. I had a constant self test after install and loading boot firmware. I called tech support and they said they should work with only a boot firmware update. I was told to get another print controller. I guess I'll have to call my rep again.

Ser no and meter reading are held on the Engine EEPROM and not needed to replace the print controller EEPROM.

The machine should work as a copier quite happily without the print controller installed. If it does,you might need a pre-programmed firmware DIMM from your rep, or you've got a dodgy print controller. Otherwise, you're probably looking at the engine board.
