I have a customer who uses account codes for everything; scanning, printing, copying, faxing, the works. Well the TTI info that is programmed in at the fax setting area is not being transmitted with the fax, it instead transmits the user account code login ID name that they selected. This is a lawyers office so these codes correspond with an active case/client. They would like to not have this info go out as the TTI sender info, I have looked in all the fax user install settings and found nothing that addresses this issue, the tech support line indicates that this is how it is and I can't do anything to change this. Has anybody else had this issue and know of a setting somewhere that can be changed so that all faxes go out with the TTI info that is loaded into the fax settings instead of the account ID info.
No ideas on this yet? After browsing through the service manual and checking the maintenance mode options and even the SW settings it appears that there is no solution to this other than just turning the TTI info "Off" so that it won't print out at the receiving fax.

It's my understanding that is a violation of FCC laws. From what I understood you MUST have a properly programmed phone number to identify the sending fax, so sending an account code instead could be deemed 'fraudulent' - since it does not identify the sender.
I know Oki states this in their user's manuals: "Fax machines must accurately identify the sender and the telephone number of the sending fax machine on each page of every fax they send. Programming this information into your OKIFAX is required by law." - From the OkiFax 5300 User's guide.
The hotline's excuse is simply unacceptable and appears to be illegal. I know our biggest users of account codes are attorneys - I don't think they want to break the law....
As a workaround (not that you should have to have one) - you could rename all of the account codes to a format like: "Account Code" "Fax Number" ie: 0020 402-555-1212
Of course, all of their reports will be silly looking, but at least they would be compliant.
It's sending the proper phone #, it's the TTI sender info that is not correct. In the fax set up area their is a spot to input "Self ID" info, which we put in what the customer wants to be transmitted along with the phone #, Ex. "Joe Blow's Plumbing". Since the account code is set up for faxing along with copying/printing/scan, the Account Code info is transmitted inplace of the "Self ID" info. Ex. the customer had 10 account codes set up and they are Plumber #1, Plumber #2, Plumber #3, and so on. If Plumber #1 account code is used to fax out it transmits the fax phone # and "Plumber #1" instead of the fax phone # and "Joe Blow's Plumbing".
I have read in some other fax manuals about the FCC regulation requiring that TTI information be transmitted on every page of a fax, but I have not found it mentioned anywhere in the Kyocera Fax user manuals. I did some experimenting and if you change the setting for TTI to "OFF" instead of "Print Outside Page" it does not send any info at all. Well if the FCC requires all faxes to transmit TTI info with each page transmitted, why do you have to option to shut it off? That still doesn't solve my problem with this machine transmitting the Job Accounting name instead of the devices' Own ID which is programmed into the fax settings. KYOCERA. . . ANY HELP HERE WOULD BE APPRECIATED
Gene, I will have to look it up again. I beleive I had to go into Default Settings -> Job Accounting ->, and than into the individual account codes, and make the change there. Then you have to do it for every job accounting user, or the numbers will not show up properly. Went rounds with Tech Support, and even swapped a Fax System after uploading newest firmware, and all of that Jazz. If you don't find it, let me know, and I will look it up exactly when I get a chance.
