Customer replaced the yellow toner and now machine has a c-7000 code. Took another toner and no fix. Chk connector YC26 on engine pcb to toner motor ok. Check maint mode 135 and all motors are operating. Replaced engine pcb and no fix. Could a defective dev unit cause this symptom?

Vacuumed out all toner packed in the hopper feed tubes and top of dv units. Last tech had run sim #135 and force fed toner till they all got backed up. Now machine came up with no code, but continued to add toner untill Yellow add toner screen came up. New toner cart installed and has plenty. I think that the yellow dv unit is faulty. I will update when the unit I ordered comes in later today.

Got a 500ci doing the same thing, only with black. Original crappy copies, replaced dv unit. Still crappy and replaced drum. New drum gave a c-2531 k clean motor error. Original drum back in. Crap copies. Returned with a new black drum, still a c-2531 with a new drum. Put original drum back in, crap copies. Now machine in shop and has a c-7000 code. Neither k dv or k cln motor turn. Always wants to add blck toner. Ready to push it off the loading dock. Anyone? Ideas? Motors ordered.... Help

** UPDATE **

Got two motors in on Friday. they were the wrong ones. They were also pulled from a machine, not new. Got the correct motors on Monday and that took care of the problem. There is definately a prob with the motors. Also had to replace all the dv units, (cyan twice, because the first one was puking developer all over the place) because the numbers in sim 131 were way wacked. Testing for a few day before it goes back to the customer. What a P.O.S.

Same here. Yellow motor came in today and machine is now code free. WinkIf you run into this code out in the field just take off the back cover and make sure all four dv motors are turning on warm up. This code will send you in the wrong direction if you follow the t/s guide in the service manual.

They are not all dv motors. The two yellow labels are for the color units. One motor drives the 3 color dv units the other drives the 3 color drum cleaners. The 2 white label motors drive the black dv unit and bk drum cleaning unit. The parts manual is wrong on the description but the part numbers are correct. Its confusing in the manuals but like billy said all 4 should be running at warm up. (they are hard to see, they are behind the 4 drum drive motors.)

Gazoo I came across that this morning. all motors turning but one yellow lable was not and it was the one closest to the bypass tray. The crazy thing is I switch the bad yellow with the white lable one to the right of it and then I got a 2352 lol.

OIY! had one of these this week, after reading the manual, I noticed the K dev motor doesn't spin all the way through warmup, so I replaced all the drive motors with the updated ones, no help.
Tried an engine board and it got worse!, so another engine board later, the machine would come to ready, then blow the code again Angry
On the phone with KM, and they suggest checking the toner box motors, yup, they all turn, in fact yellow is turning all the time!
Long story short, the yellow dev was packed all the way up to the toner chute. Somehow the dev density sensor is able to fail without triggering a 710X code.
Replace yellow dev and all was fine. Bulb

There is a mod bulletin out to replace the dev motors on the T/A 552ci. You may like to check if there is a bulletin out for the T/A 250?

When ever you encounter the 7000 error run
scode/sim U155 and check the toner sensor is
outputting as it should.

Try to avoid vacuuming dev units unless you have a well earthed vacuum cleaner. We had experiences with two blown dev unit toner senors after vacuuming them out.
