Anyone getting light gray banding? i just took new machine to client and all copy/print jobs had full page banding background. redid cal, auto gray, laser clean, and it went away. customer is miles away, hopefully that did it.
Anytime I get a copy quality issue after moving a machine I always reseat all the drums, developers and transfer belt. Sometimes when the machines get moved the connections can come a little loose and cause intermittent CQ problems.
Just heard yesturday, Get ready for a new firmware close to the end of March. It is supposed to add back in some features that were taken out. 4.something or other..
The 400ci in our demoroom did this, thankfully not during a demonstration. It looks like it is from the black developer, light grey bands of various width that go completely across the page perpendicular to the paper travel. The machine was never moved and just started doing this yesterday and I haven't had a tech on it just yet, it has 2,161 total pages on it. Powered the unit off and back on, made no difference. Will keep u posted on what the tech finds.
I had a 400ci with blue dots in the same spot but moving about the distance of 8 1/2 x 11. If you take a close look at the transfer belt you will notice very fine indentions on it. It looks just like the spots on the transfer belts on the bizhub C6500. Whats going on is the transfer belt is getting acred. I havent found out what is causing the issue but I just wanted to let you guys know.

I had one that did this, exactly. The black developing unit lasted an amazing 250K before making a great racket and seizing up solid. =^..^=
