I don't do to much field work anymore but i do have Kyocera Exp. so I have the privilege of looking at this awesome product. we are getting streaking color. initially I thought it was a transfer drum cleaning issue and it was a problem. the cleaning roller was not turning. I repl. the clutch, which I would like to add, when i opened the clutch it fell apart and was pretty rusted. so after replacing the clutch the copies were good for about 20 then it started streaking again. the streaks are on the trail edge and the image is on the transfer drum that way. I remember when these came out, there was a color clutch pack defect. my next thought was the dv clutches need to be replaced. Firmware is up to date also. any thought would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Why oh why would you torture yourself on this POS. The clutch pack is probably fried, and it's nooooo fun to replace. For the price of the clutch pack plus labor, you can probly find a good used color machine somewhere.

Thanks for you replies. I don't know about the transfer belt clutch. isn't that a secondary transfer. the streaks are already on the primary transfer drum. just priced the clutch pack at 500 plus. nice!

I am not an expert on these machines. I only work on them when there is a major problem. Every time I had a pcq problem it was because the secondary tran belt was not moving up and down properly and that is controled by that clutch. You may have streaks because the belt is rubbing on the tran drum.
