I have a 300ci that has shown intermittent vertical black banding for about the past year. The lines run top to bottom when paper is fed LEF. I initially replaced the black DVH, Drum unit and transfer belt, and it seemed to resolve for a little while, but has returned. Running drum and/or developer refreshes does nothing, but auto grey adjust resolves. The problem occurs printing or copying. The customer is okay for now running the auto grey adjust routine, but they say they have to run it at least 2x per week. I confirmed this recently when I had to go there 2x last week. Once for the vertical banding and once for a constant J10 message that turned out to be the tray 1 feed rolls needing replacement (166,000 feeds). I would like to attach a scanned image, but it seems like I need to get permission from the admin. Anyone know how to accomplish this or an input to the problem Mike

All I can say is that when that happened to me, I re did all "out of the box" setups from the install guide, including placing 20 white sheets behind the original.
