Got a strange image problem that I'm pretty sure is related to the transfer belt cleaning cycle not working properly. When
the customer runs a Duplex copy or Print job, on the side that is printed second, there is about 2 inches of a faint image
that is part of the First printed side. I contacted tech support and they recommended going into Maintenance Mode U107 and
adjusting the Belt Clean A(F) up to 83, well it was already at 83, I removed the tansfer belt assembly and vacuumed all the
toner from every where I could see, and there was plenty. I then removed the DV units and vacuumed the excess toner dust
from these. After reinstalling all components the "Ghost" image was still present. I finally found that setting the Belt
Clean A(F) up to 103 worked the best, but there is still a very faint image there. I seems to me that the cleaning bias is
possibly turning off a little too soon and all the residual image isn't properly cleaned from the transfer belt. I ended
up ordering a new transfer assembly, but not sure if this is going to be the fix. I will get some pictures added to this
thread a little later on of the image problem. Anybody else encounter this and have a different solution? Thanks

Ok, well I made these changes today to the TA that I am having the ghosting problem with. It seems to sorta work. When I
run a duplex job now I get the ghosting image only on the first copy out, then the rest seem to be fine, so there must be
another setting that I need to play around with in MM U107 to get the first duplexed copy to clean up. Gonna go read the
service manual concerning MM U107 and see what I can figure out.
