Machine was asking to replace all toner cartridges. CMY were @ 100% K@ 90%.
There were 3 print jobs in the queue. Because I wanted to go to service mode to check toner sensors, I started to delete the print jobs. I deleted the 1st one, then the screen add toner showed up, then deleted the 2nd one and, ???? the machine started to print the last print job and never bother about the toner.

Yesterday, I have to replace the magenta Dev unit in another machine because the machine refused to recognize the new toner (maybe bad sensor- was @ 714).

Have anybody seen this toner problem?

I had similar issues a while back, Jimbo. May not be related to your's, but here's what I found. The coupler gear on the back of some of the new toner cartridges didn't properly engage with the coupler on the machine side. This caused the new toner to not feed at all and then ask for new toner again. I found that if you trim the coupler on the new toner cartridge, the problem is fixed. The best way I can describe how to trim them is like this: The coupler starts out looking like this when new - ] [ , trim it so it looks like this - ( ). It's worked for me on a few machines...

I've had a 300ci that wanted black toner, yet the toner 'gas' gauge on the staus page for black was not there! Nor did it appear in the Paper & Supplies tab. Turned out to be a bad black Dev unit.

I just called the hotline. To get rid off me, he suggest to install the proper toner but I found the number for the toner in the cartridge before he hang up. Then he asked me to reset the connector of the RFID board. He could not help me how to get to it. I think is buried somewhere in there because I cannot see it so far.

C there're 2 couplers in the toner cartridge. The one in the bottom corner looks like this ] [ ,the other by the center looks like ( ). Which one are you talking abo?ut to trim?

Any other ideas

we are having the same type of problem, we have a 300ci and the machine is asking for a new black toner but the cartridge in the machine is at least 70% full. We already replaced the Black DV Unit and the RFID board. Any suggestion?
