Black DV unit not turning. Have rpl all drive components. Even rpl engine board thinking it was not firing the drive clutch. Rpl DV and drum units also. Any ideas would be greatly appeciated!! | ||

This is new to me. The way it usually goes is the black developing seals start to leak developer, and packs the developing drive gears. The black developer clutch (right below the black drum motor) is immediately wasted. You don't say how many prints/copies this unit has. Could the main drive pack gears have failed? I'd pull the back cover and run it, watching the various drive shafts. I'd also check the spring loading on the various drive couplers through the rear frame (again the main drive pack). I read a post here about doubling up the springs inside the cleaning unit drive couplers (which are identical to the developer drive couplers). It didn't solve my problem, but it may help you. =^..^= =^..^= | |||

There is a drive unit that can be replaced. It is the DR-820 for all of the E and non-E machines. If you are having units that slip (primarily the drums), or drums that won't come out of the machine, you may need this assy. The part number is 302FZ93263 The Truth Is Out There | |||
