Taskalpha 400ci color registration problem

I have a 400ci that will not respond to color registration. All developing units have been replaced and the transfer belt. Black copies look good, but color is offset due to registration. We have latest firmware loaded but registration keeps drifting off. Anybody seen this before?

Slope, Jimbo did mention that the Transfer Belt was changed.

It's not published, but to keep the registration adjustment from wandering after doing it you should do a Color Calibration right after the Color Registration is completed. Also try performing the "detail" color registration which has even more C-M-Y adjustments to set. It's another button that shows when you go into the normal color registration adjustment.

just a thought on this...make sure you have paper in drawer with 11x8.5 orientation, not 8x11R. I had one that for the life of me, i couldn't get the reg. to line up. Then i realized that the copier was auto rotating it to fit on 8x11R, which was messing it up. Just something to check.

This was in fact because the paper was auto rotating. We turned the paper and it lined right up.

This problem was resolved by getting the paper in the upper tray loaded 11x8.5 then doing the color registration. It was so far off from previous tech trying to register using 8.5x11 paper size.

I have also seen on one of these a problem where one of the calibration settings had been adjusted too far. So far that the "0" mark was right on. But the calibration lines on one end of the scale were a full alignent bar off,
=_ versus =-. If that helps visualize what I am trying to say.
