with the cbs reporting of the data on copiers we have been having customers request the data security kit. this perticular machine does not have the pins on the board to install the new data security kit board, you can easly see where it should and has the hole for the support pin, but does not have the pins to plug in, is there a board break where they did not have it on earlier models????? anyone ran into this yet and what was your solution, thanks

Make sure that the machine does not have the hard drive installed. This machine does not include a hard drive with the base system.

All Voyagers come with a 40GB hard drive for the copier. The only option is for the print system.

Does it have the fax option? If so, are you looking behind the fax board? Beyond that, I'd ask your tech rep to take a look to get a replacement.

think that i got it figured out, thanks for the replies, the instructions that come with that security kit are WRONG!!!!! i was told by the tech line that i was looking at the wrong spot on the board, witch is were the instructions told me it went and pictures show it. i was sent a whole new set of instructions that are correct... at least i will see this morning, the new instructions show the board behind the back panel, where most of your that have been doing thins for a long time are already knowing, with the kit it says its under the inner tray below the fan and that is not correct. thanks again
