Has anyone ordered and recieved the shims the hotline is recommending to place under the copier to make the copier and finisher level? Was wondering how thick they actually are. Gary at the hotline tried really hard to find out, but was unsuccessful

Don't even bother with trying shims on the cabinet. After a while the top of the cabinet caves in or the metal plate that is welded into the stand that the feet sit in breaks off. You are best to put the machine on a deck if using the finisher. If not you will be haunted by jamming on that machine. We ended up swapping stands for decks on any Voyager that had a finisher attached.

By the way, the shims were approx 3mm thick and were just a piece of massonite that went into the well of the cabinet. We used plastic held in place with dbl sided tape. Again, we swapped all stands out for PF-710 or PF-750 because, even with the shimms, the stand warpped, bent, welds broke castors bent when moved....etc.... NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!!!!

Check with one of the advertisers to this web site. Quality cabinets. Their cabinets are much stronger and are the correct height for the voyager they have a raised dimple in the sheet metal where the corners are. They are also less expensive and take less storage space in your warehouse as they snap together. Only take a minute or to to assemble.

I will give my endorsement for Quality Cabinets too. These guys are great to deal with, the cabinets are strong (even supports the voyager series), and I think look better than the OEM to boot. Give em a call (888)831-3030, they are located in Kentucky.

Thanks guys. I used Quality stands at the last company I managed and was very satisfied with the strength and workmanship. Probably the best non-oem cabinet I've used.

The last batch of stands I received from Quality Stands were the wrong height and did not have the raised dimple. I called and need to get them numbers off a stciker inside the cabinet. Anyone else have the same problem?

The company that makes the stands for quality cabinets, switched production from UK to China. I am working with their rep. to get specs on height changed as he said there has been a production change to the top panel.

Does anyone have an update on the Voyager cabinets? Have the height issues been fixed on the aftermarket vendor who advertises here? Getting ready to place an order and am tired of trying to rig the OEM cabinets to work right and not fold under.

We have been using aftermarket for a while now, but we still put all Voyagers on a paper deck. The stands may work ok when new, but as soon as you roll it on and off a truck and down the street, into their office, I guarantee a bent stand that will cause jamming. Just don't go their, save yourself a headache, put it on a deck.....

I am working with Peter Abbot with Kentinental engineering. They design and export the stands. I have sent him pictures of our solution to the height problem. We bought a sheet of masonite from home depot and drill out round slugs to place in each corner of the stand. Havent heard from him since end of oct.
