Both machine copy off the glass ok. But when I use the ADF I get a cyan back ground on half of my copy. And I would say it is on the front side of the machine. What am I missing here?

Check under slit glass for any dirt. The scaner is in a differnet position when coping from feeder than from the glass. Something is limiting the exposure.

I have cleaned the glass and mirrors. The issue will go away for a few pages then it will come back. Printing and off the glass is always fine.

I had a similar problem with a KM-5035. Off the glass was ok, thru the doc feeder the copy was very faint. Replaced the CCD and the problem has not returned. Just curious how the u000 sheets look. With the 5035 they were fine.

Hang on... Check to make sure the mirrors are locked in position. Then check the sponge mylar in between the platen glass and the slit glass to make sure its even. I make sure it's even withe the bottom of the glass. Then you will have to form the frame on the front of the optics to raise the front end of the slit glass. We have had this problem on about 25 machines and this fixed it for us. These were brand new out of the box, just set up machines, so they were NOT DIRTY. Anyone else experience this issue???

Gazoo, thanks for the ideas, these machine were just out of the box. I may need to talk to you directly. We put some electrical tape under the front end of the slit glass, it helped but now its back. How much adjustment was needed to fix the problem. We don't want to over do it?

Actually you may want to try what ss pointed out in a different post. Go to the find and copy, paste ( Copy quality from C2520 using DP-710 )... It talks about adjusting Sim 68....

I would say that 2 out of every 3 of these machines I set up requires adjustment in sim 68 to fix the cyan shading.
