I have a Ta 300ci when running a large job of 50 to 100 copies with alot of black coverage the drum cleaning unit doesn't appear to keep up with exiting the waste toner fast enough and I get lead edge to trail edge black lines. On small copy jobs with just text it's clean. I upgraded to 9.020 FW and adj. sims 59/464. My question is do I replace cleaning motor or drum unit? Thanks in advance !

I would think you would be getting C2351 codes if there were problems with the black cleaning motor. I'd probably go with the drum unit.

But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

Had three machines had to change cleaning motor. Motor works but are running slow so you don't get C codes.

I'm with slopehead on this one. Ive seen broken black drum cleaning augers on TASKalfa. It throws a code occasionally, and can clean most of the time at low fill.

Don't make the mistake I did. The low segment drum units are not the same as the high segment. =^..^=
