Hi guys, Called hotline and they said replace this motor. They could not tell me if it was part of the transfer belt unit. When you run it in sim. 30 you can hear it run but it sounds like it strains. Where is the motor exactly? I don`t see it in the belt assembly anywhere or the rear of machine. It will run about 100 copies before it throws the code.Turn machine off and on to run another 100.Found some info. on here about greasing some cams on the belt section. any ideas? Thanks
The motor is inside the transfer belt assy. I have had 5 of these codes on other TA color boxes and we've had to replace the assy. There is a Q/A regards gears locking up on the transfer belt assy that initiates the code. Most of the time the customer has stated that it throws the code at warm up each morning and after about a week, it codes multiple times during the day.
Thanks neverlaughs, That motor must small.I couldn`t find it. So you are saying in the end i have to replace the belt assembly. There is no grease or shims that will fix it for certain.
nope, you gotta replace the whole xfer belt assy. The tech pub says the shims are not available as a tech item. I took one apart once to find the motor, and yes, its buried under the belt on the side.

Has anyone had this problem that when you have replaced the transfer belt assembly twice, still having the C2700 code. Have also replace the engine board. Have gone into U30 and can hear it work there. Took the transfer belt apart and no change. Boy that was fun...NOT Called Kyocera and they said to put yet another transfer belt assembly in we may have had 2 defective ones out of the box....ya right
