Had a similar thing happen on a KM-C3232e, the print job would not start, or lock-up mid-job. It turned out to be the Printer control board in the machine. It would do it intermittently, but once it locks up you had to power off the machine to get it to work again. Finally found it by swaping out the board with another machine for a week, and no problems, switched boards back and sure enough it locked up again.

Also, have seen something similar with a bad switch/hub on the customer's network that was having alot of data collisions causing long delays in printing and sometimes causing print jobs to abort by timing out.

Just letting u know what we experienced in the past.

I upgraded the old driver, hot line sad somthing might not of loaded right and suggested deleting completly with driver deleter and reinstalling. The problem with that is its in a company with 40 workstations. Instead I loaded driver 5.0 on a different server and pointed the Cad application to the new driver, which is the app there having the most problem with. So far so good.

It's not a fix, but downgrading the firmware to 5.00 reduced the occurrances to once a day, from 87 per day.

The tech rep tells me that there is a new version of the firmware in the works to be released shortly. He had a beta version, but I had more confidence in a known working older version.

It could be a network problem, i would connect my laptop directly to it and if it still have same problem i would do a data capture. good luck.

We had a similar problem on a new 300ci. Send a test page and the memory light and print lght would just blink. Status page says processing, cancel the job and it would stay there for hours until you power cycled. reseated components and cables with no luck. Replaced the Main PCB and prints came out fine, installed the original Main and no printing.

Just a question, does this machine have a fax system installed on it as well?
If it does the factory memory is not enough and needs to be maxed out.
Hope this helps

No Fax TNRMONKEY I took the firmware back to 5.0 and haven't had a problem since in fact they have two Ta 300ci and the IT guy who's a nice guy called like a month and a half latter and asked if I could drop the other one down. That one I had at what was current at that time it was in the 6 range. At this point this is my move for Ta customers running large file sizes 20-30mg. files because it works ! I had my field rep. out there with the current version in the machine he tried all kinds of stuff, with no positive outcome. It was late and I told him it works with 5.0 and we at that point downgraded firmware and collected the info for Japan. At this point no one has gotten back to me and in the Firmware release notes there is nothing mentioned abaut this issue. So its only three Ta that were complaing "large files sent from PC" and there at 5.0 and they don't call me to complain.

Hey, I'm happy for you.

It worked for me as a temporary fix. In the end, I replaced the image memory DIMM, then it took 6.03 just fine. I'm hesitant to upgrade this one now that it's working. =^..^=
