Checked voltages on Power Source Board and thought I found problem as no 24vdc was being output. Later, after I send Power Board out for repair,I find out it needs a trigger to output the 24vdc. Roll Eyes When manually grounded it's there. It appears that the Engine Board is not sending the ground signal to the PSB so no 24/12vdc. Could one of the other boards be involved and telling the Engine Board not to send signal? How could I check for that? Or should I just order an Engine Board and hope for the best?
Thanks for the help,
COPIERDUDE497

I would check for pinched/shorted wires and rule that out completely before ordering boards. Start by unplugging all accessories (such as PF units) to see if the issue goes away. That might help narrow it down.

But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

This may sound stupid but try unplugging the Hard Drive. I had one kicking a Service Managers butt, my butt and the KM reps butt with a no power issue. I unplugged the HDD and it powered back up. Put the HDD in a computer to see if it would format, nope!

Z - that's a great tip.

I had one of my techs with a KM-3050 that was acting crazy. It had one hard drive error in the log and a few others. The hotline told him to replace the DIMM's (which had previously been replaced already) and reformat the hard drive.
They said if that didn't do it it was probably the main PCB.

I had a drive in stock - he was reluctant to replace it and wanted to do what the hotline told him to first.

After replacing the drive (and NOT replacing anything else) it has been fine.

Relax? When?!

Follow up: Accessed engine PCB. Unplugged and re-connected all connectors and machine now works.

Sorry for not getting back quicker with updates. I just got back from a week of SHARP Color Training. The machine is working as of this AM when I got a few minutes to work on it. I had sent the engine board out for repair and was told it tested OK. This morning I reinstalled and now it is working again?!!?? It is currently in the shop and I am going to play with it as I find some time. I did a service call printout and noticed a HDD error, so maybe that is the REAL issue??

I am now getting a Code 240 and am unable to put machine into Energy Saver Mode or Power Down using the Op's Panel Power Switch. Both keys beep but nothing happens until code 240 shows up, then power button beeps but not energy save. I have formatted HHD, run Scandisk, removed HDD(gives HDD Error when not installed) and reinstalled HDD. Still same Code 240 and no power off or energy saver. Reseated the Printer board and it's eprom, dimm, and ddr.
???????????????????????????????????????????????
