Slow printing when sending large amounts of pages. Spools really slow, even though it is set up correctly. Sent the same document to a Konica minolta printer and with half the memory and it prints 5 times faster.

The only thing that is different is that the Konica is Postscript 3 while ours is emulated postscript.

I am not sure about macs, but on a PC in the advanced tab make sure to have it "print directly to printer". If it is set to spool the printer is waiting for the job to get sent from the computer and can really slow the machine down.
