We have a km-2230 that is printing really wierd. Out of 100, we will have 10 prints that right in the middle of page it will drop all colors except one for the rest of the page and then it will be fine for a while and then come back. Please email at craigd@cbp-sd.com. I am pulling my hair out on this one.
Had the problem b-4. Tried all the boards, IU's and even swapped out the print head assy. Ended up being a grounding issue. Make sure there is good connection on ALL the grounding plates for the transfer roller, transfer assy and on the right hand side door. (check all of them) Also replace the loop timing sensor located on the frame right under the fuser section. Hope this helps.
I had wierd problems especially if it has alot of copies from DV dumping out on to the LED unit remove it and clean out all the old DV that dumps out rear frame and can create CQ problems, grounding issues ect. I was looking for Dis&Re the manual doesn't have that but get everything out of the way and it comes out by the toner waste container.

Gazoo is right on the money with checking the ground points in the transfer bed. I've had two machine do this and pulling apart the transfer bed and cleaning all the ground contact points has immediately fixed this issue. Good luck!
