In reference to KM-C3232(not 'E') bulletin #5. KMA says that if any of these units have cracked spacers we should replace all dev units as a set....wellllll I happen to have a KM-C3232E with cracked spacers and I'm being told that although the 2 models have the same dev unit part numbers bulletin 5 doesn't apply to the E series. Just curious if any one else has encountered this catch 22. Tech support reffered me to Dallas PDX, who refered me back to tech support, who suggested I contact my regional tech rep ....on and on and on and on....

Regardless what they say the dv units are under warranty. I would just replace the bad ones on an as needed basis and send them in for warranty as usual. You may need to go bace if another one craps out, but yiou have to play by their rules. (I DON'T THINK THEY EVEN KNOW WHAT THE RULES ARE, AND MAKE THEM UP AS THEY GO ALONG). OOPS! Did I just type that?

I agree with you as I know that would be the sure way to be refunded, but, this account is 67 miles away and I'll be damned if I'm gonna make 4 trips. I'll let ya know if we actually change policy.

It`s true, they have to be cracked. Even if you have to do them one at a time. Yeppie! What`s funny is that i can tell that the white spacer has notch cutouts, that it means it is not the solid spacer upgrade. Guess what, if that is the new one they shipped you, that`s all you have to get the customer up.But don`t worry, it will crack in 6,000 copies. Hopefully you will get the good one`s next time.

Not exactly hard to help those spacers along if you get my drift.

My Kyocera regional manager assured me all dev assys should be replaced as a set and he will ensure we get credit. Common sense is alive and well in Western Region.
