Been starting to have lots of problems with these machines out in the field lately.
Lots of J-83 jamms, some with banding on pages along with Dev Roller dashes. Motor codes for the black DV unit, Codes for the waste toner motor. Copy quality failure on the low volume machines, dusting on the high volume machines.
Had two 500 Task Alfa sold a month ago and the duplex cut out update nor the exit assembly had been done.
Check your serial numbers on the 500 CI and the ones for GSA's contracts. I believe they must have a ton on the shelves that they are shipping out that have not have the mods done.
Had to work on 3 of these yesterday, one I had to swap the Dev drive motor with the cleaning motor just so they could make a few copies until I get the other motor that measured open.
The other one was puking waste toner out of the right hand side of the copier. Had to take the waste toner augering system out and vacuum everything up. I had to use electrical tape for a temporary fix.
For the 2810 codes I was advised to run Sim 59 third choice down and put the fan mode to 3 then remove the filter on the left hand side of the copier. Kyocera may be coming up with a different auger to get a better chop on the waste toner.
