the issue that i am having with this machine is when the user sets the km-c2520 to duplex a job and exit to the finisher it is jamming constantly in the exit area. it almost looks like a timing issue but after replacing the entire exit area, fuser, main board, and updating the firmware to the latest version, i am still having no change in symptoms. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.
Any chance they're running metric size (like A4) with the destination set to "INCH" or vice versa? Or perhaps a custom size? Maybe check power outlet for low or irregular voltage?
Good Luck...
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

I appreciate the reply, I've already check the voltage with my sure test tool and every thing tested out OK. I also check the paper that they are running through the machine and it is standard 8 1/2"x11". so no weird paper sizes. this is really perplexing.
Did you see if the shim is in for the job seperator that there was a update for? I don't know if it is in a bulletin or in a q/a. The shim is placed on top of the switchback section where the job seperator solenoid fires to. Also check to see that the gears and the plastic plunger is not brittle or broken on the SOF.
Dummietek, it sounds like you have some knowledge about this. Is this something you have seen before. I'm familiar with this problem and the machine does not jam if you duplex into the inner tray, but does jam within the exit assy. when sending duplex jobs out to the finisher (DF-710). Any info would be appreciated.
once again i must say that i apperciate everyons input into this matter. I have read the tech bulliten on the job seprator shims and they have been correctly installed at this location. I am returning to the customers office this afternoon and i will be checking the engine pcb as per dummieteck's post. Hopefully it will at least change the symptoms so i know i'm on the right track. will be keeping ya'll up to date and thanks again.
jim & caff, i hope that u r not missing the white plastic piece that the lever pushes down on the switchback section since the piece opens the gate for the duplex job to be send to the finisher, hope this will help...
i went to the customers office yesterday afternoon and tried all of the adjustments discussed so far. all of the connections where tight on the engine PCB, all of the adjustments to the exit assy (the white plunger shim) where made and none made any difference. I decided to check on last thing that I have seen cause issues in the field. The circuit boards in the cassettes that detect the paper size for the drawer always seem to have an excess amount of lubricant on them. After removing the excess lubricant and running somewhere in the area of 250-300 duplexed pages and having absolutly no jams i do believe the problem has finally been fixed. I thank everyone for there input and hope to repay the favor in the future.
