I have a TA500 that is a couple weeks old and will not show me toner levels on the status page.It says wrong toner is installed. This happened after I updated firmware and reformatted the hard drive for a CF000 code(which is an engieering code)I even downloaded all the information I needed to put back into the copier onto a USB stick through SIM 917. I checked through sims that the copier was showing to be a Kyocera and not a CopyStar. I also reset the copier through the Web Page Command Center and Reloaded the Firmware and I also did a Sim 906. The copier does not show up on our DCA that we use to get meter readings and check toner levels, but the other TA500 that the customer has does. I did a side by side comparison of simulations and they checked out to be the same. The other TA500 had the same issue with the CF000 code a week later, but when I reformatted the hard drive and updated the firmware the copier status page showed the toner levels and I could get the meter readings from the DCA. Any ideas?
It's simulation 265 Destination, set to 2 for Copystar. Your Toner levels will reappear, it will display as a Copystar, and your hostname will change back also.
This is a often a result of running sim U024. =^..^=

try taking out the dev unit and shaking it from side to side but slightly tilted towards the mag rollers. i know it sounds crazy but have had this four times now and that fixed it for me. its like the dev unit loses the plot and just needs reminding who is the boss. after shaking it just run off a quick status page and see if guage is there if it is i would do a dev refresh after. good luck.
The solution to no toner status on the status page was becuse the was a connector for the RF sensor behind the engine board that was not fully connected. It look connected but was not. The connector is right against the back frame and it will easily come disconnected when pulling the engine pcb out.
